Expat Reception 2024

We, at International Community and Aarhus University, are looking forward to meeting you, at this year's Expat Reception!

The reception will take place at Aarhus Katedralskole, where there will be fun activities for both adults and children. This is a great opportunity to meet new people or see familiar faces, so be sure to mark the date on your calendar and don't forget to sign-up.

The Expat Reception is an annual tradition with 600-700 attendees where you can relax with your family and socialize with other expats while enjoying some complimentary refreshments. The event will be kicked off by the mayor of Aarhus, Jacob Bundsgaard, followed by live international music to enjoy along with cool beverages and food from Zócalo.

The first 100 children will receive a goodie bag, so make sure to bring your children and arrive early! Afterwards all can enjoy free Premier Is ice cream, and have tons of fun at the children corner. To heighten the fun, a professional face painter will be ready to create colorful artwork for those interested.

We've prepared a 'Human Bingo' where everyone can participate and win great prizes in Instagram in the following week.

Expat Reception is free of charge, and when you sign-up you will automatically receive a complimentary drink and a free meal vouche. IMPORTANT: There will be 600 meal and drink vouchers available on the day of the reception. The vouchers are given on first come, first serve basis.

You will as well receive an invite for the official Expat Reception After Party held at Tir Na NÓg. The day’s program distributed at the entrance of Expat Reception will include a voucher to receive one free Carlsberg beer or a soda if you arrive at the After Party between 18:00–19:00 and a 50% Off coupon on a child’s meal.
