Background of International Community

International Community was established in 2008 by Erhverv Aarhus based on a strong initiative on the part of the business community, Aarhus University and the City of Aarhus. Thus, International Community is an integrated part of Erhverv Aarhus, who works to make sure that the framework for conducting business lives up to the needs of the business community.

Today, some of the largest companies in the greater Aarhus area take part in our joint effort to further develop the region as an attractive area for international employees and their families.

These events include the Newcomers' Info Evening and other informative webinars about crucial topics for an excellent adjustment to life in Denmark, like the healthcare system, childcare and school option, and pregnancy and birth.

Unique social networking opportunities

We organize networking events to expand your social circles, whether they are casual family gatherings, getting to visit a club or association, or our largest event for internationals, the Expat Reception.

Local engangement initiatives to kickstart life in Denmark

We know a big part of getting a hold of life in a new country and city means getting to know the locals. For this reason, we offer a unique service for internationals to get matched with a club or association of their interest. Look at how you can join a club.
