HOWThe first step for EU/EEA citizens to get your legal documents in order when you move to Denmark is to apply for a Certificate of Registration.
The application for a Certificate of Registration must be submitted to The State Administration. It is a good idea to fill out the Application for EU residence document before going to The State Administration. If you have questions or are in doubt about what to write in certain fields of the application, leave them blank and ask when you submit your application.
- Your passport
- A passport photo
- Documentation for the reason for your stay
WHYCitizens from EU and EEA countries and Switzerland intending to reside and work in Denmark must obtain a Certificate of Registration.
