Spouse Community Aarhus Update - Week 46 & 47
Tak for sidst!
We need you!
We are looking for Spouse Community members that can volunteer with hosting our monthly coffee mornings and afternoons.
As a host you will help sign everyone in and make sure the event runs smoothly. It’s super easy and you’ll still have plenty of time to socialise and meet new people! If you would like to volunteer please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your contact details and which coffee morning or afternoon you’d like to help with.

We’d love you to join us! Spouse Community Aarhus is a community of enthusiastic international spouses and accompanying partners from all over the world that have settled in Aarhus and made this city our home. Anyone can become a member of Spouse Community Aarhus, whether you or your partner are internationals or Danes. We are lucky enough to have members of many ages and nationalities, both men and women, and some working or volunteering in Aarhus.
We are a non-profit volunteer-based organisation and our nominal membership fee of 100kr per year (that’s about the price of two coffees!) goes directly back into putting on our events - so the more members we have, the more awesome events!
As a member you’ll also receive invitations to all our Spouse Community Aarhus events which are free to members (or in the instance there is an entry fee or ticket needed, we negotiate the best price possible for our members), and access to our members-only Facebook forum, a place to connect with members, ask questions and seek advice, and share events and articles.

Spouse Community is run by spouses, for spouses; so, if you have a passion or event idea you’d like to share with the community – we’d love to hear from you! Email us at email@example.com
Creative Writing Workshop
Saturday, November 23, 14:00-15:30
Dokk1, Hack Kampmanns Plads 2, 8000 Aarhus C
Price DKK: 60.000 for Spouse Community members only
Creative writing invokes your senses. It encourages you to unleash your inner voice through your experience, joys and fears.
Writer and philologist Flavia has created a creative writing workshop that focuses mainly on the art of skaldic poetry. Used by the Vikings, skaldic poetry was seen as a craft and art form that celebrates figurative language.
In this workshop you’ll learn all about kenning metaphors and the history of words and their etymology. You will learn how to write your very own poem or short essay in English following the skaldic rules and unleash your inner voice.
