The Pandas are here!
On April 4, two young pandas arrived at Copenhagen airport, after several years of preparations. The two just moved into their newly build panda-park in Copenhagen Zoo, which they already seems to enjoy! After the long journey from China they are now relaxing in the Park while eating Danish grown Bamboo. The Zoo officially welcomed the Pandas and presented them to the public in the presence of the Danish Queen and Crown Princess present along with the Prime Minister.
The Pandas are one of each sex, a female named Mao Sun and a male named Xing Er, and the hope for the future is that the two will breed, and contribute to the survival of the specie.
With the Easter holidays upon us, now is a great time for a trip to Copenhagen to explore the city and maybe also visit the two new pandas!
