Spouse Community Update Week 42
Insta-takeover with Gulshat!
Over on our Instagram, we are giving the world a peek into the lives of spouses in Aarhus! Every once in a while, one of our members will takeover our Instagram to share everything from their daily lives, to hidden gems around the city. We have such a diverse membership, and everyone experiences Aarhus differently – so this is a great chance to see how others have made this city their home.
Last week, Gulshat is shared week in her life – including some beautiful views from Nordic Seaplanes and thoughts about adopting pets as an expat. Follow her journey at @spousecommunityaarhus.
If you’re a member who would like to do an Insta-Takeover, we’d love to hear from you! It doesn’t matter if you’re completely new to Instagram, we’ll find an easy way to tell your story: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Even if you’re not doing a Takeover, you can still join our Insta-community, just tag your posts with #spouselifeinaarhus to showcase your life in Aarhus!
Tak for sidst – TGIF with Spouse Community
Last Friday, we enjoyed some beers and ciders together at Waxies. It was a nice way to catch up and celebrate the last working day before efterårsferie. Keep an eye out for the next TGIF in December!
What is a Spouse? projectWe at Spouse Community Aarhus consider ourselves as international individuals, who have fearlessly entered the Danish culture with the hope of thriving in Aarhus alongside our partners. Our 'What Is A Spouse?' project was launched at our one-year anniversary. The project is a compilation of inspiring stories from ‘spouses’ like you who have done just that. Each month we’ll bring you a new experience from spouses who have made Aarhus their home. For this month, read about Lisa, a doctor from Germany who moved to Denmark with her partner after he found a job at Aarhus University. She has shared her experience of settling and restarting her career in Denmark, learning Danish, how she met new people and found activities to engage herself in Aarhus. Read more by clicking here.
