The ‘nautical' tour by Aarhus Explorers will show you dramatic changes of the Aarhus waterfront. It is a perfect outing for those who love the mixture of modern architecture and marine landscapes. The coast from DOKK1 to Aarhus Ø is probably the fastest changing area of the city where you’ll be guided along historic and prize-winning buildings. You'll find out more about the marine water life you can find in the Bay of Aarhus and water sports which are popular here. The tour is very photogenic, so don’t forget your cameras. Dress accordingly to the weather. It might be windy!
DATE: 7 October, Sunday TIME: 11.00am TOUR: Art Hunt - Everything you always wanted to know about the Pig Monument, but were too afraid to ask. LENGTH: 2 hours MEETING PLACE: at the bottom of Dokk1 steps (Hack Kampmanns Pl.2) LANGUAGE: English PRICE: 80 kr/ 40 kr (kids) GUIDE: Carl
Aarhus offers a wonderful choice of city wall paintings (murals), which have been painted by well-known international and local artists, and awesome public sculptures, which sometimes hide in the city centre, just round the corner ;) Therefore, we would like to invite all public art enthusiasts and city tourists to enjoy the City of Smiles focusing on art in the public space. The walk finishes in front of the City Hall (the Pig Monument). If you are a student, ask the guide for a discount.
