Spouse Community Update Week 37
Tak for sidst!
Spouse Community Aarhus in cooperation with the Port of Aarhus, attended the opening of the art exhibition by Santhi Maniam of Santhi Art. An accomplished artist, and Spouse Community member, Santhi moved from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Aarhus seven years ago. Through 'Aarhus Seen Through International Eyes' she shared her love for Aarhus and how she feels at home here, through a collection of her paintings inspired by Aarhus and the harbour. We loved being part of this opening, to meet the guests while we enjoyed the lovely artwork by Santhi.
What is a Spouse? projectWe at Spouse Community Aarhus consider ourselves as international individuals, who have fearlessly entered the Danish culture with the hope of thriving in Aarhus alongside our partners. Our 'What Is A Spouse?' project was launched at our one-year anniversary. The project is a compilation of inspiring stories from ‘spouses’ like you who have done just that. Each month we’ll bring you a new experience from spouses who have made Aarhus their home. For this month, read about Lukas, a 28-year-old from Germany who first came to Denmark to study, met his Danish girlfriend and decided to settle in Denmark. He has shared his experience of settling and exploring various opportunities in Aarhus. Read more by clicking here.

Insta-takeover by Suvi!Over on our Instagram we are giving the world a peek into the lives of spouses in Aarhus! Every month one of our members will takeover our Instagram to share everything from their daily lives, to hidden gems around the city. We have such a diverse membership, and everyone experiences Aarhus differently – so this is a great chance to see how others have made this city their home.
Currently Suvi is sharing a week in her life – including some of her favourite things to do around town! Follow her journey at @spousecommunityaarhus.
