Spouse Community Update Week 28

We held our second SUMMER POP-UP EVENT on July 11 when we were treated to a historical walking tour of Aarhus by official city tour guides, and Spouse Community members, Alexia Granato, Joy Berrut and Juliana Appel! They took us on a journey from when the city was established, to the Viking years, and all the way to modern day - and we uncovered some truly fascinating insights into the city we call home. Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of Aarhus knowledge with us!

Becoming a member and gain access to a plethora of fun events, workshops and activities for free or discounted rates. It costs just 100kr per year. What is a Spouse? project

We at Spouse Community Aarhus consider ourselves as international individuals, who have fearlessly entered the Danish culture with the hope of thriving in Aarhus alongside our partners. Our 'What Is A Spouse?' project was launched at our one-year anniversary. The project is a compilation of inspiring stories from ‘spouses’ like you who have done just that. Each month we’ll bring you a new experience from spouses who have made Aarhus their home. For this month, read about Andrés, a 26-year-old Spaniard and an accompanying spouse who has shared his experience of settling and exploring various opportunities in Aarhus by clicking here

Event highlight: Summer Pop-Up Events
As many of our members are off on exciting summer break adventures in July, Spouse Community is hosting a series of Summer Pop-Up Events throughout the month. These informal events will be open to our members, and their friends and family if they wish to bring them along and this information will be posted on our members-only Facebook Forum. We look forward to seeing you at brunches, for sightseeing, and hopefully a few cheeky drinks in the sunshine.

Become a member
We’d love you to join us! Spouse Community Aarhus is a community of enthusiastic international spouses and accompanying partners from all over the world that have settled in Aarhus and made this city our home. Anyone can become a member of Spouse Community Aarhus, whether you or your partner are internationals or Danes. We are lucky enough to have members of many ages and nationalities, both men and women, and some working or volunteering in Aarhus.
We are a non-profit volunteer-based organisation and our nominal membership fee of 100kr per year (that’s about the price of two coffees!) goes directly back into putting on our events - so the more members we have, the more awesome events!
As a member you’ll also receive invitations to all our Spouse Community Aarhus events which are free to members (or in the instance there is an entry fee or ticket needed, we negotiate the best price possible for our members), and access to our members-only Facebook forum, a place to connect with members, ask questions and seek advice, and share events and articles.
