Tak for sidst!

Here’s a few more images from our recent First Anniversary Party at BART taken by talented photographer, and Spouse Community member, Zane Hartmane – you might have already spotted her snapping away at some of our events, she does a brilliant job of capturing the warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere we aim to create at all our activities. You can find the full album of photos on our Facebook page (along with all our upcoming summer events) here.

This week we also launched the first session of our Danish Chat + Coffee Group initiated and led by one of our fantastic members, Claudine Negus. This is a weekly session where Spouse Community members can get together to practice their Danish speaking skills in an informal setting. The events are open to members only of all Danish skill-levels and are posted on our members-only Forum – keep reading to see how you can become a Spouse Community member for just 100kr a year.

What is a Spouse? project

We at Spouse Community Aarhus consider ourselves as international individuals, who have fearlessly entered the Danish culture with the hope of thriving in Aarhus alongside our partners. Our 'What Is A Spouse?' project was launched at our one-year anniversary. The project is a compilation of inspiring stories from ‘spouses’ like you who have done just that. Each month we’ll bring you a new experience from spouses who have made Aarhus their home. Check out our Facebook, Instagram and Web page to read about Subhi, a 30-year-old Data Engineer and an accompanying spouse from India who has shared her experiences of settling and finding her niche in Aarhus.

Join the Spouse Community Aarhus Board!

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic spouse to grow and contribute to Spouse Community Aarhus by volunteering as a Board Member in area of Communications.
You will be joining a proactive and passionate Board of members who are committed to growing our network and engaging spouses across the Aarhus community through social and professional networking opportunities, events, activities and charitable initiatives.

We’re looking for a volunteer who is positive, enthusiastic and organised, with a desire to drive projects that add value to our community and members. Ideally, you’re a social butterfly who is comfortable speaking to both individuals and in-front of groups, and you’re also willing to lend a hand and support your teammates in their project areas when needed.

In our Communications role, there’s an emphasis on social media and creating written content to promote our events, so if you’re a great writer and a whiz at Facebook and Instagram, that’s a huge plus!
