Spouse Community Update - Week 22

Tak for sidst!

We enjoyed a sunny day out at Dome of Visions for our Monthly Coffee Morning catch-up. We welcome all the new faces who joined us and we’re looking forward to seeing you all at our other events!

We had a fantastic evening with our beloved members on May 26, celebrated the first year gone by, and toasted to an exciting year ahead! We enjoyed having conversations with each other along with cocktails, canapes and cakes. Many thanks to Bart for hosting us in their lovely space and for mixing wicked cocktails for us. At the end of the evening, we had a lucky draw and our member, Marta bagged an original painting donated kindly to us by artist and member, Roser Cussó. Big thanks to all our invaluable members who have supported us throughout this journey and inspired us to create various initiatives to develop our unique community in Aarhus. We look forward to more exciting initiatives in the upcoming year.

What is a Spouse? Project

We at Spouse Community Aarhus consider ourselves as international individuals, who have fearlessly entered the Danish culture with the hope of thriving in Aarhus alongside our partners. Our 'What Is A Spouse?' project was launched at our one-year anniversary. The project is a compilation of inspiring stories from ‘spouses’ like you who have done just that. Each month we’ll bring you a new experience from spouses who have made Aarhus their home and feature the stories on our Facebook, Instagram and Web page. For this month, read about Subhi, a 30-year-old Data Engineer and an accompanying spouse from India who has shared her experiences of settling and finding her niche in Aarhus by clicking here

Join the Spouse Community Aarhus Board!

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic spouse to grow and contribute to Spouse Community Aarhus by volunteering as a Board Member in area of Communications.

You will be joining a proactive and passionate Board of members who are committed to growing our network and engaging spouses across the Aarhus community through social and professional networking opportunities, events, activities and charitable initiatives.

We’re looking for a volunteer who is positive, enthusiastic and organised, with a desire to drive projects that add value to our community and members. Ideally, you’re a social butterfly who is comfortable speaking to both individuals and in-front of groups, and you’re also willing to lend a hand and support your teammates in their project areas when needed.

In our Communications role, there’s an emphasis on social media and creating written content to promote our events, so if you’re a great writer and a whiz at Facebook and Instagram, that’s a huge plus!

We look forward to hearing from you!
