Autumn Break

The weather is getting colder, wetter and darker so it’s time to snuggle up inside and enjoy all the hygge you can possibly collect.

Autumn is the perfect build-up for winter. The Nature is wonderful and filled with different colors that make your eyes glow. Take a walk in the forest of Risskov or go to Marselisborg Deer Park and feed the deers. The food is characterized by the harvest and filled with apples, potatoes and pumpkins. The list of possibilities is endless – filled apples, pumpkin and apple pies, warm drinks and much more.   

Besides the wonderful nature and the inside hygge, the autumn break is filled with activities that help you restore your energy and create good memories for the colder days to come. 

Below you can find some of the many activities happening in the autumn break.

Tivoli Friheden:  
Tivoli Friheden celebrates Halloween with lots of fun experiences when the park is invaded by frightening creatures and gigantic spiders.
There will be plenty of entertainment every day with Fun with Uncle Shrimp, Tivoli by Night and Friend Days. Don’t miss all the fun and scary experiences!
You can also experience Filuren’s family musical – The Night’s Tivoli (in Danish). It is free when you have paid entrance to the park.

The Old Town:
The Old Town invites children and adults to experience a tour through time. In this time travel from 1864 to 1974 you have to help several people from the past. You also have the opportunity to cut yourself into scenes from the Danish history or travel in time with Virtuel Riality glasses.

Djurs Sommerland:
The park is open the whole autumn break in combination with Halloween. 25.000 pumpkins will decorate the park along with skeletons and witches. Explore the haunted house and the pumpkin fabric and get spooked.

Lego House:
Lego House just opened so take a tour to Billund and experience how it’s like to be inside a real Lego House. While you are there you can also visit Legoland.

Legoland will bed transformed into a big Halloween adventure. The most charming ‘land’ in the world will be transformed into a domain of demons and dread! And some days you can stay extra-long, as darkness falls bringing scares aplenty...
The park will be packed with scary LEGOLAND creatures and amazing LEGO® built Halloween displays. Crawl inside a huge Lego Pumpkin with more than 100.000 bricks and explore the many activities in the park.

Steno Museet:
The museum opens its doors in the autumn break. Be inspired by crazy ideas, experiments and explore the night sky, super computers and satellites.

Free for children less than 18 years of age.

Naturhistorisk Museum:
Crazy Autumn break in the natural history museum. Explore the many activities in the museum doing the holidays.

Price: Adults 75 kr. Free for children and youths less than 18 years old.

The DGI House arranges activities in almost all of its 5000 square meters during the Autumn Vacation. The activities will be assisted by instructors, and kids can play by themselves or with the entire family. Book your tickets now!

Energy museum:
A week full of happy and healthy energy. The theme will focus on children, energy and playing with the season’s ingredients.

Ree Park:
Ree park opens up for the autumn break with activities all days. You can enjoy the animals from four different continents and participate in the many special activities.

Visit kvindemuseet for their potato vacations – Build potato animals or make your own potato lunch bag. Join the many activities such as scavenger hunts and potato sack races.
