International Community

The Danish Daycare System

Date: 04 September 2019
Time: 17:00 - 19:00
Location: Aarhus University, AIAS, Building 1630, Auditorium, 1st floor, 8000 Aarhus C

International Community in close cooperation with University International Club welcomes all internationals in Aarhus to a seminar about the daycare system in Denmark.

As a mother navigating the Danish daycare system can be a challenge. What are your options? How do you sign up your child? What does a day at daycare look like? What practicalities do you need to take in mind? Is it true that children sleep outside, even in winter?

This introduction to the daycare system in Denmark focusses on childcare for children aged 1 to 6. We will look into different topics, such as the structure, the options and the practicalities.

Guest speakers are Daniela Trifiletti, UIC Aarhus University and Tiny Maerschalk, Head of International Community.  They are both foreigners and mothers of two, who have experienced the system and will be able to guide you and answer your questions.

Coffee, tea and water will be served.

We look forward to seeing you!
