Explore the world of Greek and Roman art, culture and mythology at the Museum of Ancient Art, Aarhus University.
Taylor FitzGerald will lead you on a tour of the museum's collection of artefacts and sculpture casts, telling stories from Greek and Roman mythology and sharing information about ancient Mediterranean culture and society. The tour will last around 45 minutes and will be in English. Afterwards, guests are welcome to explore the rest of the museum at their own pace--Taylor will stay around to answer any questions.
Museum entry is free.
The museum also offers guests free coffee (donations appreciated!) to enjoy before or after the tour in the reception area only. Please do not bring food or drinks into the museum itself.
Suitable for anyone who likes to listen to stories, look at art, or with an interest in history, culture, or the ancient Mediterranean world.
Suitable for children? It depends on the child and the child’s attention span! Please note that many of the museum’s exhibits are not behind glass, so it is important to keep children in one spot. If people want to bring their babies, that is absolutely fine, just be aware that the museum is not pram-friendly.
