From May 25 2018 new rules apply regarding how companies, organizations and public institutions in EU treat personal information. The following describes how International Community treats and uses the data from newsletter sign ups and event participation.

Your data is safely stored in a system called Campaign Monitor. We do not share the data.
We store your data unless you decide that you do not want to receive the newsletter anymore.
You can always unsubscribe from the newsletter by using the link in the bottom of the newsletter.
If you sign up for an International Community event you fill out basic contact info plus information about your occupation/studies and information about your potential partner’s professional situation. We ask these questions in order to collect knowledge about our target group and improve the services we provide for internationals living and working in Aarhus.
Moreover, the contact information is used for sending reminder and practical information prior to events and in some cases to share presentations etc. after events. In some cases the information is used for making name tags and participant lists for events.
When you sign up several people for an event you need to inform about the persons name and email. We expect that the person in charge of signing people up for an event has their consent to do so.
The data from event participation is stored in up to two years in Dynamicweb.
We do not share the data.
